Frequently asked questions

Enter your bodyweight, select an exercise and enter how much weight you lifted and for how many reps. The calculator estimates your one-rep max (1RM) and compares it to research-based strength standards relative to your bodyweight.
1RM (one-rep max) is the heaviest weight you can lift for a single rep with proper form. The calculator estimates it automatically from your weight and reps using the Epley formula.
The estimate is most accurate in the 1–10 rep range. Accuracy decreases above 10 reps. The best way to test your true 1RM is to do it safely in the gym with a spotter.
The levels are based on research and extensive training data (Kilgore & Rippetoe, ExRx.net, NSCA). They compare your 1RM relative to your bodyweight and experience level.
Yes! You can add as many exercises as you want. The calculator computes an overall strength index from all tested exercises.
The raw weight lifted doesn't tell the full story. A 100 kg bench press looks very different on a 70 kg vs a 110 kg person. The bodyweight ratio levels the playing field.
