Welcome to Tsemppi! These Terms of Service set out how you may use the Tsemppi application and service. By using Tsemppi, you accept these terms.
This is a translation of the original Finnish document. In case of any discrepancy, the Finnish version shall prevail. Read the original Finnish version
1. Service provider
The Tsemppi application and service are provided by:

2. Description of the service
Tsemppi is an AI-assisted training application that:
Creates personalised training programmes for you with the help of artificial intelligence
Tracks your progress visually as a muscle map
Provides a community where you can share workouts and encourage others
Helps you train effectively and systematically
AI functionality: In generating training programmes, we use OpenAI’s artificial intelligence service. Further information on the data used by the AI can be found in our Privacy Policy.
We develop the application continuously and add new features to it. Some features may be marked as experimental, in which case they may not work as expected in all situations.
3. Who may use Tsemppi
You may use Tsemppi if you:
- ✓Are at least 15 years old
- ✓Accept these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy
- ✓Do not use the service for unlawful or harmful activities
If you are under 18, you need your guardian’s consent to take out a paid subscription. The guardian is responsible for purchases made by a minor.
4. Account creation and responsibility
Creating an account:
- •You must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering
- •You are responsible for the security of your account password
- •Notify us immediately if you suspect that the security of your account has been compromised
Use of the account:
- •One account is intended for one person
- •You may not share your account with others
- •You are responsible for all activity that takes place through your account
5. Subscription and pricing
Tsemppi is a paid subscription service. A subscription gives you access to the application’s paid features for the duration of the subscription period.

Prices include VAT. The application always shows the price in force before purchase. Prices may vary by country according to currency and tax rate.
Free use at the start. You can create an account, generate a training programme and complete one workout without a subscription. After that, the application asks you either to start the free trial or to take out a subscription before you can continue using the paid features.
Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will notify you of a price change at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email or in the application. The change applies only to a billing period starting after the notice. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
6. Trial period and automatic renewal
Trial period. New users are offered a 7-day free trial. The trial can be started once the free workout has been used and the application asks for a subscription. With a promotional code the trial may be longer. The trial is available once per user.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel it before the period ends. This also applies to the trial period:
- •The trial converts to a paid subscription automatically when it ends
- •You are charged on the last day of the trial
- •You may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged
- •If you cancel during the trial, access continues until the end of the trial period
Payment. Subscriptions are billed through the app store you downloaded the application from: Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to the payment method linked to that account. We do not process or store your card details. If a payment fails, the app store may retry the charge in accordance with its own terms, and the subscription may be suspended until payment succeeds.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation is done in the app store through which the subscription was taken out, not in the Tsemppi application:
iPhone and iPad:
Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Tsemppi → Cancel subscription
Android:
Google Play → profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Tsemppi → Cancel subscription
Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period to avoid the next charge. Access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. We cannot cancel your subscription on your behalf, because the billing agreement is with the app store.
Note: deleting your account in the application does not cancel your subscription. Cancel the subscription in the app store before deleting your account, otherwise billing will continue.
8. Refunds and right of withdrawal
As a consumer you are in principle entitled to a 14-day right of withdrawal in distance contracts. For digital content, however, the right of withdrawal lapses once delivery of the service has begun with your express consent before the withdrawal period has ended and you have acknowledged that the right lapses. You give this consent at the point of purchase in the app store.
Refunds are handled by the app store through which the subscription was taken out:

If the app store rejects your refund request and you believe you are entitled to one, contact us at info@tsemppiapp.fi. We will look into it and may refund the payment separately if the request is justified.
An unused part of a subscription period is not refunded as a rule.
9. Employee wellness benefits
Tsemppi can also be subscribed to through Finnish employee wellness benefit providers (Epassi and Edenred). In that case:
- •The subscription and payment are governed by that provider’s terms, not the app store’s
- •Your employer and the benefit provider are responsible for granting the benefit, its scope and its validity
- •Access to Tsemppi ends when the period paid for through the benefit ends
- •These Terms of Service apply to your use of the application in this case as well
If your employment or benefit entitlement ends, you can continue using Tsemppi by taking out an ordinary subscription through the app store. Your training history is preserved.
10. Permitted and prohibited use
Permitted use:
- ✓Use Tsemppi for your personal training
- ✓Share your workouts and encourage others in the community
- ✓Share Tsemppi content on social media and other platforms — it is recommended!
- ✓Provide feedback and suggestions for developing the application
Prohibited use — you may not:
- ✗Use Tsemppi for unlawful or damaging activities
- ✗Harass, bully or threaten other users
- ✗Publish offensive, inappropriate or unlawful content
- ✗Attempt to break into the application or its systems
- ✗Copy, modify or distribute Tsemppi’s content or code without permission
- ✗Use automated tools (bots) in the application
- ✗Collect other users’ information without permission
- ✗Impersonate Tsemppi or give the impression that you represent our company
- ✗Claim to own Tsemppi’s content, code or intellectual property rights
- ✗Share your account or resell your access
11. Content and intellectual property rights
Content owned by Tsemppi:
- •All Tsemppi content (text, images, logo, code, training programmes, muscle map, etc.) is the property of Tsemppi Fitness Oy
- •You are granted a limited, personal and non-transferable right to use the application for the duration of your subscription
- •You may not copy, modify or distribute Tsemppi’s content without written permission
- •Some of the material used in the application, such as the exercise animations, is used under licence from a third party. The licensor retains ownership of that material
Your content:
- •You own the content you upload yourself (profile pictures, comments, shared workouts)
- •By providing content to Tsemppi, you grant us the right to use it for providing the service
- •You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to share the content you upload
- •We reserve the right to remove content that breaches these terms
12. Third-party services
Tsemppi uses the following third-party services to enable its operation:
OpenAI
Generation of AI-based training programmes with a language model. We only send onboarding information (goal, level, equipment), not personal data.

13. Service availability and changes
Availability:
- •We aim to keep Tsemppi available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
- •We may carry out maintenance work that may temporarily interrupt the service
- •We aim to schedule planned maintenance for times of low usage
Changes to the service:
- •We may add, change or remove features as we develop the service
- •If we remove a feature that is a material part of your paid subscription, we will give at least 30 days’ notice and you may cancel your subscription
- •If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least 60 days’ notice and refund the paid but unused part of your subscription period
14. Limitations of liability and safety
Training safety:
Tsemppi provides AI-assisted training guidance and progress tracking. We recommend that you consult a healthcare professional before starting a new training programme, especially if you have health problems or injuries. Always listen to your body and stop the workout if you experience pain or discomfort.
Limitations of AI:
AI-generated training programmes are indicative and are based on the information you provide and on general training principles. They do not replace the advice of a personal trainer or a healthcare professional. The strength level and muscle point metrics are motivational tools, not medical assessments.
Limitation of liability:
We are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profit, loss of data or business interruption. Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for Tsemppi during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the damage.
This limitation does not apply to damage caused by us intentionally or through gross negligence, to personal injury, or to any other liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer protection legislation.
15. Account closure
You may:
- •Delete your account at any time in the application settings or by contacting us: info@tsemppiapp.fi
- •Your data will be deleted within 30 days of the account being closed
- •Remember to cancel your subscription separately in the app store before deleting your account (see section 7)
We may:
- •Close or suspend your account if you materially breach these Terms of Service
- •Before closing, we will send a written notice and allow 14 days to remedy the situation, unless the breach is so serious that immediate closure is necessary
- •If we close your account without you having breached these terms, we will refund the unused part of your subscription period
16. Changes to the Terms of Service
We may update these Terms of Service. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect:

If you do not accept the changes, you may cancel your subscription before they take effect. By continuing to use the service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

17. Apple and Google
These terms are an agreement between you and Tsemppi Fitness Oy, not with Apple or Google. When you download the application from an app store:
- •Apple and Google are not responsible for the application, its content, maintenance or support
- •Any claims concerning the application are addressed to us, not to Apple or Google
- •Apple has the right to rely on these terms as a third-party beneficiary in respect of the application downloaded from the App Store
- •You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US export embargo and are not on any US sanctions list
The app store’s own terms apply to downloading and payment in addition to these terms.
18. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms of Service are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you are additionally entitled to the protection of the mandatory consumer protection legislation of your country of residence.
We aim to resolve all disagreements directly with you in the first instance. Contact us at info@tsemppiapp.fi and we will respond within 14 days.
If we cannot reach an agreement, as a consumer you may refer the matter to:
- •The Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Before taking a matter to the Board, contact Consumer Advisory Services (kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).
- •The EU online dispute resolution platform, if you live in another EU country
- •The district court of your place of residence. If you are not a consumer, disputes will be resolved in the Helsinki District Court.
